2024 Ohio Star Ball Registration

Please read Event Rules, Policies, and Syllabus carefully before submitting entries and packages. Registration Deadline is Oct. 7th.

Mail all entries and packages with payment in full by ZELLE* (ohstarball@aol.com) or credit card (4% fee), money order or cashiers check in US currency made payable to “OHIO STAR BALL” to: OHIO STAR BALL P. O. Box 14442 Columbus, Ohio 43214 (614) 848-7827. Personal and studio checks will be returned. Over the phone, faxed or e-mail entries will not be accepted. Late entries will only be accepted if the timetable permits and does not create extra rounds. All late, or changed, or substituted entries will not be counted towards Top Teacher, Top Studio awards. You will receive confirmation of your entries and packages in the mail. Please check very carefully that no mistakes have been made. Also, please read our refund policy in the Rules & Regulations document below, paragraph #25.


If you’re planning to attend the Ohio Star Ball on a Package, please contact your studio if you have any questions on tickets, registration, hotels, or pricing. The hotels that are used for our package customers are the Hyatt Regency Columbus and the adjacent Drury Inn Hotel hotels. If you’re a studio or independent teacher/student and have tickets/ registration/ hotel/ pricing questions, please contact the Ohio Star Ball Registrar using the information on the Contact Us page.


Professional entry fee includes admission to ballroom only when you are competing in professional event.


All general admission tickets should be purchased in advance and will be sold pending the availability of space. Friday evening and Saturday evening in Battelle Hall will be reserved seating for everyone. All other sessions, whether in the Regency Ballroom or Battelle Hall will not be reserved or guaranteed seating to general admission tickets holders. Package holders will have an assigned table in the Regency Ballroom. Tickets are non-refundable or exchangeable.


Competition Attire as follows:


– Tuesday will be casual.

– Wednesday will be casual.

– Thursday will be casual.

– Friday evening will be formal.

– Saturday evening will be formal.

– Sunday will be casual.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Cancellation must be in writing and made prior to October 30 to receive a refund 30 days after the event. Cancellation made after October 30 will NOT receive a refund. Canceled entries taken at the event cannot be substituted by another entry and no refund will be made on such a cancellation. There are no refunds or exchanges on general admission tickets.
